Ketzi Soap contains Ketoconazole 1% w/w, an antifungal agent effective in the treatment of various superficial fungal infections of the skin. Ketoconazole belongs to the imidazole class of antifungals and works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting fungal cell integrity and leading to cell death. Ketzi Soap is indicated for the management of dermatophytosis, pityriasis versicolor, seborrheic dermatitis, and other fungal skin infections caused by susceptible organisms.

The soap formulation allows for topical application, facilitating direct contact with affected areas, promoting rapid antifungal activity while minimizing systemic absorption. It is recommended to use Ketzi Soap by lathering the affected area and surrounding skin, leaving the foam in place for several minutes before rinsing thoroughly, typically once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare professional.
Caution is advised in patients with known hypersensitivity to ketoconazole or any excipients in the formulation. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; in case of accidental exposure, rinse thoroughly with water.
