Ketorom Cream contains Ketoconazole 2% w/w, an imidazole antifungal agent effective against a broad spectrum of fungal infections. It is primarily indicated for the topical treatment of dermatophytic infections such as tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and tinea pedis, as well as candidiasis of the skin and pityriasis versicolor. Ketoconazole exerts its antifungal action by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, leading to increased membrane permeability and ultimately fungal cell death.
