Ketoconazole, an imidazole antifungal agent, exerts its effect by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting fungal growth and replication.

Zinc Pyrithione possesses antibacterial and antifungal properties, reducing scalp flaking, itching, and inflammation associated with seborrheic conditions. The combined action of these active ingredients provides a broad-spectrum approach to managing scalp disorders caused by Malassezia species and other pathogenic fungi. Ketokem Shampoo is typically applied to wet hair and scalp, massaged gently to form a lather, left in place for 3 to 5 minutes to allow adequate contact time, and then rinsed thoroughly.
Regular use as directed by a healthcare professional can effectively control symptoms and prevent recurrence.
