Ketofast Soap contains Ketoconazole 1% w/w, an antifungal agent effective in the treatment of various superficial fungal infections of the skin. Ketoconazole is a broad-spectrum imidazole antifungal that works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. Ketofast Soap is indicated for the management of dermatophytosis, pityriasis versicolor, seborrheic dermatitis, and candidiasis of the skin.

The soap formulation allows for topical application, providing localized antifungal activity while minimizing systemic absorption. It is suitable for use on affected areas of the body, including the face, trunk, and limbs. For optimal results, the soap should be applied to wet skin, lathered thoroughly, and rinsed off after 3 to 5 minutes, once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare professional.
Caution is advised in patients with known hypersensitivity to ketoconazole or any other ingredients in the formulation. Prolonged use should be avoided unless recommended by a physician to prevent potential skin irritation or resistance.
