Ketoess-DS is typically administered in conjunction with a low-protein diet to optimize nutritional status without exacerbating uremic symptoms. The tablet aids in maintaining a balanced amino acid profile, preventing protein-energy malnutrition, and improving overall metabolic parameters in CKD patients. It is particularly beneficial in stages 3 to 5 of CKD, including those undergoing conservative management prior to dialysis initiation.

Dosage and administration should be individualized based on renal function, dietary protein intake, and clinical response, under strict medical supervision. Adverse effects are generally uncommon but may include gastrointestinal disturbances or hypersensitivity reactions.
