Ketobrex is indicated for patients with moderate to severe renal insufficiency who require protein-restricted diets to delay the progression of renal failure and mitigate uremic symptoms. By providing ketoanalogues, the tablet supports the maintenance of nutritional status without exacerbating azotemia. The mechanism involves transamination of ketoanalogues to essential amino acids in peripheral tissues, promoting anabolism and reducing catabolism.

Ketobrex should be administered under medical supervision alongside dietary protein restriction and other standard CKD management strategies.
