Ketoconazole belongs to the imidazole class of antifungals and acts by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting cell membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. This medicated soap is indicated for the management of superficial mycoses such as tinea versicolor, dermatophytosis, and candidiasis.

It is also beneficial in controlling seborrheic dermatitis by reducing Malassezia yeast populations on the skin. Keto Gold Soap is intended for topical use and should be applied to the affected area once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare professional. Users should lather the soap on the skin, leave it for a few minutes to allow adequate contact time, and then rinse thoroughly.
Caution is advised in patients with known hypersensitivity to ketoconazole or any other ingredients in the formulation. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
