Zinc Pyrithione exhibits broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, including antifungal and antibacterial effects, by interfering with membrane transport and cellular metabolism. The combination of these active ingredients provides enhanced efficacy against dermatophytes, yeasts such as Malassezia species, and other pathogenic fungi responsible for conditions like seborrheic dermatitis, tinea versicolor, and pityriasis capitis.
Keto-AZ Lotion is applied topically to the affected area once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare professional. It is generally well tolerated, with minimal adverse effects; however, mild local irritation, burning, or dryness may occur.
