Ketnat-Z Shampoo is a medicated topical formulation containing Ketoconazole 2% w/v and Zinc Pyrithione 1% w/v, indicated for the treatment of dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, and other fungal infections of the scalp. Ketoconazole, an imidazole antifungal agent, exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting fungal growth and replication.

Zinc Pyrithione possesses antibacterial and antifungal properties, effectively reducing scalp flaking, itching, and inflammation associated with seborrheic conditions. The combination of these active ingredients provides a broad-spectrum antimicrobial action, making Ketnat-Z Shampoo effective against Malassezia species and other pathogenic microorganisms implicated in scalp disorders.
It is recommended for topical use only and should be applied to the wet scalp, massaged gently to form a lather, left on for 3-5 minutes, and rinsed thoroughly.
