Ketax Soap contains Ketoconazole 2% w/w, an antifungal agent effective in the treatment of various fungal infections of the skin. Ketoconazole belongs to the imidazole class of antifungals and works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. Ketax Soap is indicated for the management of superficial mycoses such as tinea versicolor, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and seborrheic dermatitis caused by Malassezia species.

The soap formulation allows for localized application, providing direct contact with the affected area to reduce fungal load and alleviate symptoms such as itching, scaling, and redness. It is suitable for use in adults and children over the age of 12 years. To use, the affected area should be lathered with Ketax Soap and rinsed off thoroughly, typically once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare professional.
