The solution is applied directly to the affected scalp areas once or twice daily, as directed by a healthcare professional. Minoxidil’s mechanism involves the opening of potassium channels, which enhances blood flow to hair follicles, thereby improving follicular size and hair shaft diameter. Clinical studies have demonstrated that higher concentrations of minoxidil, such as 10%, may offer increased efficacy in promoting hair regrowth compared to lower concentrations, although they may also carry a higher risk of side effects.
