Keorash Cream contains Ketoconazole 2% w/w, an imidazole antifungal agent effective against a broad spectrum of dermatophytes, yeasts, and fungi responsible for superficial fungal infections. This topical formulation is indicated for the treatment of various cutaneous mycoses, including tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis, and pityriasis versicolor. Ketoconazole exerts its antifungal action by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, leading to increased membrane permeability and ultimately fungal cell death. Keorash Cream is applied once or twice daily to the affected area and surrounding skin after cleansing and drying, ensuring complete coverage. The cream base facilitates good skin penetration and provides symptomatic relief from itching and inflammation associated with fungal infections. Treatment duration typically ranges from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the severity and site of infection, with clinical improvement usually observed within the first week. Keorash Cream should be used with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to ketoconazole or any excipients. It is for external use only and should be avoided in the eyes, mucous membranes, and open wounds. If irritation or hypersensitivity reactions occur, discontinuation and medical consultation are advised.
