Keenuron Forte Injection contains Methylcobalamin 2500 mcg, a biologically active form of Vitamin B12 essential for neurological function and hematopoiesis. It is indicated for the treatment of Vitamin B12 deficiency, which may present as pernicious anemia, neuropathies, or other conditions resulting from inadequate Vitamin B12 levels. Methylcobalamin plays a critical role in DNA synthesis, red blood cell formation, and maintenance of the myelin sheath surrounding nerves, thereby supporting nerve regeneration and repair. Keenuron Forte Injection is administered intramuscularly or intravenously as prescribed, allowing rapid replenishment of Vitamin B12 stores in patients with malabsorption syndromes, chronic alcoholism, or those undergoing prolonged use of certain medications that impair Vitamin B12 absorption. The injection is also beneficial in managing peripheral neuropathies, diabetic neuropathy, and other neurological disorders associated with Vitamin B12 deficiency. Adverse effects are rare but may include mild injection site reactions or hypersensitivity. Caution is advised in patients with known hypersensitivity to cobalamin compounds.
