Kayspas-Plus Tablet is a combination medication containing Dicyclomine 10 mg and Mefenamic Acid 250 mg, formulated to provide effective relief from gastrointestinal spasms and associated pain. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic agent that works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, thereby reducing muscle spasms, cramps, and discomfort commonly seen in conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other functional bowel disorders. Mefenamic Acid, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, which reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation. The synergistic action of these two components makes Kayspas-Plus particularly effective in managing abdominal pain accompanied by spasmodic activity. It is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of abdominal cramps, dysmenorrhea, and other conditions involving smooth muscle spasms with inflammatory pain.
