Kanaferon Injection

Kanaferon Injection is typically administered by slow intravenous injection or infusion under medical supervision, with dosing individualized based on the patient’s iron requirements, hemoglobin concentration, and clinical response. The formulation is designed to minimize the risk of adverse reactions commonly associated with parenteral iron preparations, such as hypersensitivity and hypotension.

Prior to administration, patients should be evaluated for iron overload conditions and hypersensitivity to iron sucrose or any component of the formulation. Monitoring of serum ferritin, transferrin saturation, and hemoglobin levels is recommended to guide therapy and avoid iron overload. Adverse effects may include transient hypotension, nausea, or injection site reactions, which are generally mild and self-limiting.
