Jolyrab-DSR Capsule is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Domperidone 30 mg and Rabeprazole 20 mg, designed to manage gastrointestinal disorders characterized by acid reflux and delayed gastric emptying. Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility by increasing the tone of the lower esophageal sphincter and accelerating gastric emptying, thereby alleviating symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, providing effective relief from acid-related disorders including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and peptic ulcers. The combined action of these agents offers symptomatic relief and promotes mucosal healing by reducing acid exposure and improving gastric motility.
