Jolyrab-DSR Capsule is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Domperidone 30 mg and Rabeprazole 20 mg, designed to manage gastrointestinal disorders characterized by acid reflux and delayed gastric emptying. Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, providing effective relief from acid-related disorders including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and peptic ulcers. The combined action of these agents offers symptomatic relief and promotes mucosal healing by reducing acid exposure and improving gastric motility.
Jolyrab-DSR is indicated for patients with GERD associated with delayed gastric emptying and other acid-peptic conditions requiring dual therapeutic intervention. It should be administered under medical supervision, considering contraindications such as hypersensitivity to components, and caution is advised in patients with cardiac arrhythmias or hepatic impairment. Adverse effects may include headache, dry mouth, abdominal cramps, and rare extrapyramidal symptoms.
