Jodascan Injection is administered intravenously or via other routes depending on the diagnostic requirement, under strict medical supervision. Prior to administration, patient history should be reviewed for hypersensitivity to iodinated contrast media, renal impairment, or thyroid disorders, as these conditions may increase the risk of complications. Adequate hydration before and after the procedure is recommended to facilitate renal clearance of the agent and minimize nephrotoxicity.
Common adverse effects include mild nausea, warmth sensation, or transient headache, while severe reactions such as anaphylaxis are rare but require immediate medical intervention.
