Iron Isomaltoside is a stable complex of iron and isomaltoside, designed to deliver controlled and rapid iron replenishment directly into the bloodstream. This formulation allows for high-dose intravenous administration with a low risk of free iron release, minimizing oxidative stress and hypersensitivity reactions. Jilazo is particularly useful in patients with chronic kidney disease, inflammatory bowel disease, or other conditions associated with impaired iron absorption or increased iron requirements.
