It is primarily indicated for the management of various inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, including but not limited to rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, allergic disorders, and certain dermatological diseases. Deflazacort exerts its therapeutic effects by modulating the immune response and inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators, thereby reducing tissue inflammation and immune system overactivity. Jamcort 6 is also utilized in the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy to improve muscle strength and function. The medication should be administered under strict medical supervision, with dosage tailored to the specific condition and patient response. Common side effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, increased susceptibility to infections, hyperglycemia, and mood alterations.
