Melitracen is a tricyclic antidepressant that inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin, enhancing mood and alleviating symptoms of depression. The synergistic action of these two agents helps in improving mood, reducing anxiety, and enhancing overall mental well-being. Jalanupla Tablet is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate depression, anxiety states, and psychosomatic disorders.
It is particularly beneficial in patients presenting with symptoms such as low mood, fatigue, irritability, and sleep disturbances. Dosage should be individualized based on clinical response, and the medication should be used under medical supervision to monitor for potential side effects, including extrapyramidal symptoms, anticholinergic effects, and cardiovascular changes. Caution is advised in patients with a history of cardiac disorders, glaucoma, or epilepsy.
Jalanupla Tablet should not be abruptly discontinued to avoid withdrawal symptoms.
