Bilastine is a second-generation antihistamine that selectively antagonizes peripheral H1 histamine receptors, effectively alleviating symptoms such as pruritus, urticaria, and allergic rhinitis without causing significant sedation. Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that inhibits the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor CysLT1, thereby reducing inflammation, bronchoconstriction, and mucus production associated with allergic responses.
