Ishinac-MF Oral Suspension Mango is a combination analgesic and antipyretic formulation containing Mefenamic Acid (50mg) and Paracetamol (125mg) per 5ml. This preparation is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain and reduction of fever in pediatric patients. Mefenamic Acid, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation. Paracetamol acts centrally to alleviate pain and lower elevated body temperature through inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. The mango-flavored oral suspension offers an easy-to-administer and palatable option for children who have difficulty swallowing tablets. Ishinac-MF is commonly used in conditions such as dental pain, musculoskeletal pain, dysmenorrhea, and febrile illnesses. Dosage should be carefully adjusted according to the patient’s age and weight, and the suspension should be administered with caution in patients with hepatic or renal impairment. Adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, hypersensitivity reactions, and, rarely, hematological abnormalities.
