Irozorb FCM Injection

Irozorb FCM Injection is particularly useful in patients with chronic kidney disease, inflammatory bowel disease, heavy uterine bleeding, or those undergoing surgery who require prompt correction of iron deficiency. The administration of Irozorb FCM is typically performed as a slow intravenous infusion or injection, with dosing individualized based on the patient’s iron deficit, body weight, and hemoglobin levels.

This formulation minimizes the risk of free iron release, thereby reducing oxidative stress and hypersensitivity reactions compared to older iron formulations. Common adverse effects include transient headache, nausea, dizziness, and injection site reactions. Hypersensitivity reactions are rare but require immediate medical attention. Irozorb FCM Injection should be used under strict medical supervision, with periodic monitoring of iron parameters and hematologic response to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes and to avoid iron overload.

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ferric Carboxymaltose or any of its excipients.
