Metronidazole, a nitroimidazole derivative, exerts bactericidal and antiprotozoal effects by disrupting DNA synthesis in anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. Clotrimazole, an imidazole antifungal agent, acts by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, compromising fungal cell membrane integrity, thereby treating candidal infections. Inside-V Tablet is indicated for mixed infections where bacterial and fungal pathogens coexist, such as bacterial vaginosis complicated by candidiasis or oral thrush with secondary bacterial involvement.
