Insapraz-LSR Capsule is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Levosulpiride 75 mg and Esomeprazole 40 mg, indicated for the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), functional dyspepsia, and other acid-related gastrointestinal disorders. Levosulpiride, a selective dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, facilitates gastric motility and enhances esophageal sphincter tone, thereby improving gastric emptying and reducing symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, providing effective relief from acid-related mucosal damage and promoting healing of erosive esophagitis. The synergistic action of these two agents addresses both motility dysfunction and acid hypersecretion, offering comprehensive symptom control.
