Inprazole 20 Tablet contains Rabeprazole 20mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce gastric acid secretion. It is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and peptic ulcer disease. Rabeprazole acts by selectively inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, thereby suppressing the final step of acid production.

This results in decreased gastric acidity, promoting healing of ulcers and esophageal inflammation while providing symptomatic relief from heartburn and acid regurgitation. Inprazole 20 is typically administered orally once daily, preferably before meals, with dosage adjustments based on clinical response and specific indications. The medication is generally well tolerated; however, potential adverse effects include headache, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, and dizziness.
Long-term use may be associated with an increased risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, hypomagnesemia, and bone fractures. Caution is advised in patients with hepatic impairment, and it should not be co-administered with drugs that require an acidic environment for absorption without medical supervision. Inprazole 20 Tablet should be used under medical guidance to ensure appropriate therapy and monitoring.
