Inovas F Tablet is a combination lipid-lowering agent containing Atorvastatin 10 mg and Fenofibrate 160 mg, indicated for the management of dyslipidemia and mixed hyperlipidemia. Atorvastatin, a selective HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, reduces cholesterol synthesis in the liver, effectively lowering low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and total cholesterol levels while modestly increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). Fenofibrate, a fibric acid derivative, activates peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα), enhancing lipolysis and elimination of triglyceride-rich particles, thereby reducing serum triglycerides and increasing HDL-C. The combination therapy is particularly beneficial for patients with persistent elevated triglycerides and LDL-C despite monotherapy, or those with mixed dyslipidemia who require simultaneous reduction of multiple lipid fractions. Inovas F Tablet should be used alongside lifestyle modifications including diet, exercise, and weight control. It is contraindicated in patients with active liver disease, severe renal impairment, or hypersensitivity to either component. Caution is advised in patients with a history of myopathy or those receiving concomitant medications that increase the risk of myopathy or rhabdomyolysis.
