Imidil-C Vaginal Suppository contains Clindamycin 100mg and Clotrimazole 200mg, formulated for the treatment of mixed vaginal infections caused by susceptible bacteria and fungi. Clindamycin is a lincosamide antibiotic effective against anaerobic bacteria and certain aerobic Gram-positive organisms by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. Clotrimazole is an imidazole antifungal agent that disrupts fungal cell membrane synthesis, thereby exerting fungistatic and fungicidal effects against Candida species and other pathogenic fungi.

Imidil-C is indicated for the management of bacterial vaginosis and vulvovaginal candidiasis, providing broad-spectrum antimicrobial coverage. The suppository form ensures localized drug delivery, maximizing therapeutic concentrations at the site of infection while minimizing systemic absorption and associated side effects. Administration is typically once daily at bedtime for a duration prescribed by a healthcare professional, usually ranging from 3 to 7 days depending on the severity and type of infection.
Patients should be advised to complete the full course of therapy even if symptoms improve earlier to prevent recurrence.
