Ilaprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, providing effective relief from acid-related conditions including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and erosive esophagitis. The combination of these two agents offers a synergistic therapeutic approach by simultaneously enhancing gastric motility and reducing acid secretion, which is beneficial in patients presenting with dyspeptic symptoms accompanied by acid reflux.
Ilapro D Capsule PR is typically administered orally, with dosing tailored according to clinical response and physician discretion.
