The drug’s onset of action typically occurs within one hour, providing symptomatic relief from heartburn, acid regurgitation, and epigastric discomfort. Ilaprazole is generally well tolerated; common adverse effects may include headache, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and nausea.

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ilaprazole or other PPIs.
