Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, providing relief from acid-related disorders including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and peptic ulcer disease. The synergistic action of Domperidone and Pantoprazole in Ignapan-DSR Capsule addresses both motility dysfunction and acid hypersecretion, making it suitable for patients presenting with combined symptoms.
