Icebux Tablet contains Febuxostat 40 mg, a selective xanthine oxidase inhibitor used primarily for the management of hyperuricemia in patients with gout. By inhibiting xanthine oxidase, Febuxostat reduces the production of uric acid, thereby lowering serum urate levels and preventing the formation of urate crystals that cause gout attacks. Icebux is indicated for the long-term treatment of hyperuricemia in patients with gout who are unable to tolerate or have inadequate response to allopurinol.

It is particularly useful in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment, as dose adjustment may not be necessary. The tablet should be taken orally, with or without food, as prescribed by a healthcare professional. Common adverse effects include liver function abnormalities, nausea, rash, and joint pain; therefore, regular monitoring of liver enzymes and renal function is recommended during therapy.
Icebux should be used cautiously in patients with cardiovascular disease due to a potential increased risk of cardiovascular events. It is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to Febuxostat or any of its excipients.
