Halobetasol exerts strong anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects by modulating the release of inflammatory mediators and suppressing immune responses in the skin.

Salicylic Acid facilitates the removal of scales and promotes desquamation by softening and loosening keratin, enhancing the penetration and efficacy of the corticosteroid. I Salic 6 Ointment is applied topically to the affected areas once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare professional. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, in untreated bacterial, viral, or fungal skin infections, and should be used with caution in children and on large surface areas to avoid systemic absorption and potential adverse effects.
Common side effects may include local irritation, burning sensation, or dryness. Prolonged use should be avoided to minimize risks of skin atrophy and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression.
