Hyokof FP Syrup is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Chlorpheniramine Maleate (1mg/5ml), Paracetamol (125mg/5ml), and Phenylephrine (5mg/5ml), designed for the symptomatic relief of common cold, allergic rhinitis, and related upper respiratory tract conditions. Chlorpheniramine Maleate, an antihistamine, alleviates allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes by blocking H1 histamine receptors. Paracetamol serves as an analgesic and antipyretic agent, effectively reducing fever and relieving mild to moderate pain associated with cold and flu. Phenylephrine, a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist, acts as a nasal decongestant by constricting dilated blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, thereby reducing nasal congestion and improving airflow. The syrup formulation allows for ease of administration, particularly in pediatric and adult patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets.
