Hydropalm 25 Tablet contains Hydroxyzine 25mg, an antihistamine with anxiolytic, sedative, and antiemetic properties. It is primarily indicated for the management of anxiety and tension associated with psychoneurosis, as well as for the symptomatic relief of pruritus due to allergic conditions such as chronic urticaria and atopic dermatitis. Hydroxyzine exerts its effect by antagonizing central and peripheral histamine H1 receptors, thereby reducing allergic symptoms and exerting a calming effect on the central nervous system. Additionally, it may be used as a premedication to potentiate the effects of analgesics and anesthetics. Hydropalm 25 is administered orally, with dosage tailored according to the severity of symptoms and patient response. Common side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth, and headache, while caution is advised in patients with a history of QT prolongation or cardiac arrhythmias.
