Hivast F 145mg/10mg Tablet is a combination lipid-lowering medication containing Fenofibrate 145mg and Rosuvastatin 10mg, indicated for the management of dyslipidemia and mixed hyperlipidemia. Fenofibrate, a fibric acid derivative, primarily acts by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα), which enhances lipolysis and elimination of triglyceride-rich particles, thereby reducing serum triglycerides and increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). Rosuvastatin, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, decreases cholesterol synthesis in the liver, leading to significant reductions in low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and total cholesterol levels. The combination therapy offers a synergistic effect, effectively improving lipid profiles in patients with elevated LDL-C, triglycerides, and low HDL-C, thereby reducing the risk of cardiovascular events.
