Histapex-MD Tablet contains Betahistine 16 mg, a histamine analogue used primarily in the management of Ménière’s disease and other vestibular disorders characterized by vertigo, tinnitus, and hearing loss. Betahistine acts as a vasodilator in the inner ear, improving microcirculation and reducing endolymphatic pressure, thereby alleviating symptoms associated with abnormal vestibular function. It exerts its therapeutic effect by acting as a partial agonist at histamine H1 receptors and as an antagonist at H3 receptors, which modulates histaminergic neurotransmission and enhances vestibular compensation.
