Hisert 50 is indicated for adults and should be taken as directed by a healthcare professional, usually once daily with or without food. The onset of therapeutic effects may take several weeks, and adherence to the prescribed regimen is essential for optimal outcomes. Common side effects include nausea, insomnia, dry mouth, dizziness, and sexual dysfunction, which are generally mild and transient.
Patients should be monitored for any signs of worsening depression, suicidal ideation, or unusual behavioral changes, especially during the initial treatment phase or dosage adjustments. Hisert 50 should be used cautiously in individuals with a history of bipolar disorder, seizures, or bleeding disorders. It is contraindicated in patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or those with known hypersensitivity to sertraline.
