Hinder Cream contains Eflornithine 13.9% w/w as its active ingredient and is indicated for the reduction of unwanted facial hair in women. Eflornithine is a selective, irreversible inhibitor of the enzyme ornithine decarboxylase, which plays a critical role in hair follicle cell proliferation. By inhibiting this enzyme, Hinder Cream slows down hair growth, leading to a noticeable reduction in the rate and thickness of unwanted hair. The cream is intended for topical application to affected facial areas, such as the upper lip and chin, and should be applied twice daily for optimal results. Clinical studies have demonstrated that consistent use over 4 to 8 weeks results in significant hair growth retardation, with continued use necessary to maintain effects. Hinder Cream is generally well tolerated; however, mild skin irritation, redness, or burning sensation at the application site may occur and typically resolves with continued use or discontinuation. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Eflornithine or any cream excipients.
