Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent that enhances mucus clearance by stimulating the production of serous mucus in the respiratory tract, facilitating expectoration and improving airway patency in conditions characterized by excessive or thickened mucus, such as bronchitis and other respiratory tract infections. The synergistic combination of Cetirizine and Ambroxol in Hicet-AX Syrup provides dual therapeutic benefits by simultaneously addressing allergic inflammation and promoting mucus clearance, thereby improving respiratory function and patient comfort.
This formulation is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of allergic respiratory disorders accompanied by productive cough and mucus hypersecretion. Hicet-AX Syrup is generally well tolerated; however, it should be used with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to either component. Dosage and duration of therapy should be individualized based on clinical response and patient age, adhering to established prescribing guidelines.

How to use Hicet-AX Syrup Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Hicet-AX Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
