It is primarily indicated for the management of hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia to reduce elevated total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B, and triglycerides, while increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C).

Rosuvastatin acts by selectively inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol biosynthesis, leading to decreased cholesterol production in the liver and upregulation of LDL receptors, thereby enhancing clearance of circulating LDL particles. Hhrosu 10mg is prescribed as part of a comprehensive treatment plan including diet, exercise, and lifestyle modification to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as myocardial infarction, stroke, and angina in patients with established coronary artery disease or those at high risk.
The tablet should be taken orally once daily, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Caution is advised in patients with hepatic impairment, renal dysfunction, or a history of muscle disorders. Regular monitoring of lipid profiles, liver enzymes, and creatine kinase is recommended to assess therapeutic response and detect potential adverse effects.
