HH Linctus-Ex Expectorant is a combination oral syrup formulated to alleviate symptoms associated with productive cough and bronchial congestion. It contains Ambroxol (15 mg/5 ml), Guaifenesin (50 mg/5 ml), and Terbutaline (1.25 mg/5 ml), each contributing to its multifaceted therapeutic action. Ambroxol acts as a mucolytic agent, facilitating the breakdown and clearance of viscous mucus from the respiratory tract, thereby improving airway patency. Guaifenesin serves as an expectorant, promoting increased secretion of respiratory tract fluids, which aids in loosening phlegm and enhancing productive cough. Terbutaline, a selective beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist, provides bronchodilation by relaxing bronchial smooth muscle, thus reducing airway resistance and easing breathing difficulties.
