Hevobet-F Cream is a topical formulation combining Halobetasol propionate (0.05% w/w), a potent corticosteroid, with Fusidic Acid (2% w/w), a bacteriostatic antibiotic, designed for the treatment of inflammatory dermatoses complicated by bacterial infections. Halobetasol exerts strong anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects by modulating the release of inflammatory mediators and suppressing immune responses in affected skin areas. Fusidic Acid inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by interfering with elongation factor G, thereby effectively targeting Gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, commonly implicated in secondary skin infections. Hevobet-F Cream is indicated for conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis where inflammation is accompanied by or at risk of bacterial infection. The combination therapy helps reduce inflammation, itching, and redness while simultaneously controlling bacterial proliferation, promoting faster resolution of symptoms. It is intended for topical use only and should be applied in a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare professional. Prolonged use or application over large surface areas should be avoided to minimize potential systemic absorption and adverse effects.
