Heteal-D Capsule SR is a combination medication containing Domperidone 30mg and Rabeprazole 20mg, formulated to manage gastrointestinal disorders characterized by acid reflux, indigestion, and delayed gastric emptying. Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility by increasing the movement of the stomach and intestines, thereby facilitating gastric emptying and reducing symptoms such as nausea and vomiting. Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, providing effective relief from acid-related conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and erosive esophagitis. The sustained-release formulation ensures prolonged therapeutic action, improving patient compliance by maintaining consistent plasma drug levels. Heteal-D Capsule SR is indicated for the treatment of GERD with associated motility disorders, functional dyspepsia, and other acid-peptic diseases where combined acid suppression and prokinetic effects are desired.
