Hepabliss-UC Tablet contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid 300 mg, a hydrophilic bile acid used primarily in the treatment of cholestatic liver diseases. It acts by reducing the cholesterol content of bile and bile stones, thereby promoting bile flow and preventing the formation of gallstones. Ursodeoxycholic Acid is indicated for the dissolution of radiolucent gallstones in patients who prefer nonsurgical treatment and have functioning gallbladders.

Additionally, it is employed in the management of primary biliary cholangitis and other chronic liver diseases characterized by cholestasis, where it helps improve liver function tests and delays disease progression. Hepabliss-UC Tablet works by stabilizing hepatocyte membranes, protecting cholangiocytes from cytotoxicity, and exerting immunomodulatory effects that reduce inflammation and fibrosis.
The medication is generally well-tolerated, with adverse effects being mild and infrequent, including gastrointestinal disturbances such as diarrhea and nausea. It is contraindicated in patients with complete biliary obstruction, acute cholecystitis, and hypersensitivity to Ursodeoxycholic Acid. Dosage should be individualized based on the clinical condition and response, and therapy requires regular monitoring of liver function tests.
