Hemzest Oral Solution contains Hydroxyzine 10 mg per dose, an antihistamine with anxiolytic, sedative, and antiemetic properties. It is primarily indicated for the symptomatic relief of anxiety and tension associated with psychoneurosis and as an adjunct in organic disease states in which anxiety is manifested. Additionally, Hemzest is effective in the management of pruritus due to allergic conditions such as chronic urticaria, atopic and contact dermatoses, and in the treatment of nausea and vomiting.

The oral solution formulation allows for precise dosing and ease of administration, particularly in pediatric and geriatric populations. Dosage should be individualized based on the patient’s condition, age, and response to therapy, with caution advised in patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias or QT prolongation.
