Elevated levels of DHT are implicated in androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness), leading to hair follicle miniaturization and progressive hair loss.

By reducing scalp and serum DHT concentrations, Healpecia 1mg helps to halt hair loss progression and promotes hair regrowth in men with androgenetic alopecia. This medication is indicated for the treatment of male pattern hair loss in men aged 18 years and older. It is not approved for use in women or children. The recommended dose is one tablet daily, taken orally with or without food.
Clinical efficacy is typically observed after three months of continuous use, with optimal results seen at 6 to 12 months. Patients should be advised that discontinuation of therapy may result in the reversal of therapeutic effects. Finasteride is contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation and is not to be handled by pregnant women due to potential risk of fetal abnormalities.
Common adverse effects include decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and ejaculation disorders, which are generally reversible upon cessation. Regular monitoring and consultation with a healthcare professional are recommended during treatment.
