Healico-Praz Capsule SR is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Domperidone 30 mg and Rabeprazole 20 mg, designed for the management of gastrointestinal disorders. Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, facilitates gastric motility and accelerates gastric emptying, thereby alleviating symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, bloating, and discomfort associated with delayed gastric emptying. Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, providing effective relief from acid-related conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and erosive esophagitis. The sustained-release (SR) formulation ensures prolonged therapeutic plasma concentrations, enhancing efficacy and improving patient compliance by reducing dosing frequency. Healico-Praz is indicated for the treatment of acid peptic disorders accompanied by motility disturbances, including GERD with associated dyspepsia and gastroparesis.
