HD Stop 10 Tablet contains Hydroxyzine 10mg, an antihistamine with anxiolytic, sedative, and antiemetic properties. It is primarily indicated for the management of anxiety and tension associated with psychoneurosis, as well as for the symptomatic relief of pruritus due to allergic conditions such as chronic urticaria and atopic dermatitis. Hydroxyzine acts by competitively inhibiting histamine H1 receptors, thereby reducing the effects of histamine in the body, which helps alleviate allergic symptoms. Additionally, it exerts a central nervous system depressant effect, contributing to its anxiolytic and sedative actions. HD Stop 10 is also used as a premedication before anesthesia to reduce anxiety and induce sedation. The recommended dose should be individualized based on the patient’s condition and response, with caution advised in elderly patients and those with impaired hepatic or renal function. Common side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth, and headache.
