Hbclin 600mg/4ml Injection contains Clindamycin 600mg as its active ingredient, a lincosamide antibiotic effective against a wide range of aerobic and anaerobic gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible strains, including respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, intra-abdominal infections, and septicemia.

Clindamycin acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis through binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, thereby preventing peptide chain elongation. Hbclin Injection is administered via intramuscular or intravenous routes, ensuring rapid systemic availability, particularly in cases where oral administration is not feasible. Dosage and duration of therapy should be determined based on the severity of infection, patient’s clinical condition, and microbial susceptibility.
Caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, especially colitis, as Clindamycin has been associated with pseudomembranous colitis. Adverse effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances, hypersensitivity reactions, and transient liver enzyme elevations. Hbclin 600mg/4ml Injection should be used under strict medical supervision with appropriate microbiological monitoring to optimize therapeutic outcomes and minimize resistance development.
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Clindamycin or lincomycin.
